If you love discussing ideas with others and are looking out for avenues to do the same during the lockdown led by the pandemic last year, chances are high that you might have come across Leher.
Leher was conceptualized in the year 2018 with the idea to democratize discussions. But, we will not dive deep into the history of how and where Leher started. Rather, we’d love for you to read about the future of Leher.
So, what’s new?
We’ve redesigned the entire experience, just for you. For the people who love us, who love discussing ideas with others.
For the past couple of months, we were chasing that one thing: “Experience”.
We did a small experiment earlier this year when we invited our users to create clubs of their interest and call in their tribe to discuss interesting topics inside these club rooms.
Guess what, it was an instant hit. With more than 200 clubs created in just a month’s time, it was obvious for us to draw our next set of features.
And here we are, with an amazing upgrade to the existing product, launching the revamped Leher.
ROOMS!
All the discussions – Private/Public/anything under the Sun are brought into a single screen – Rooms. You can join these rooms to discuss your favorite topics with people.
CLUBS!
Rooms can be found at different places. Some rooms are public and hence can be found on the home screen while some are private where the hosts want only the relevant crowd to participate. Hence, Clubs.
The clubs allow you to be a part of the tribe and drop into discussions that has people who belong to that topic.

For the Creators (Hosts/Club Owners):

Enhanced visibility of clubs and rooms in the home screen
A completely revamped home screen that brings in all your club’s public and private sessions to the front.
When you create a public room, it goes through the algorithm and is pushed in front of the people who are interested in your segment of topics.
Why is this useful?
It helps you garner more eyeballs to your public rooms. The discovery of your clubs/sessions becomes easier.
Ability to host public rooms on behalf of the clubs
A new feature that allows you to host public rooms on behalf of club that you’re a part of.
When you click on the create a room button, it asks you to choose between hosting an independent room (Public for all) or a room on behalf of a club that you’re a member of.
Why is this useful?
It helps you attract the right audience to your club while you host these amazing discussions in public.
Ability to host member only rooms on behalf of the clubs
Pretty much like the earlier one, this feature allows you to keep things private:).
When you click on the create a room button, it asks you to choose between options of rooms and one of option allows you to mark the room as private on behalf of a club that you’re a member of.
Why is this useful?
Some conversations are really private and that’s the way they should be.
Critical Moderation Tools
The creators are going to love this new set of tools. What they offer is a complete control for the hosts of the rooms.
It comes with a super set of features like:
- Blocking the stage only for current speakers
- Requesting listeners to raise hands before they can join the speakers panel
- Removing a speaker who would be inappropriate to the discussion
- Opening the stage for everyone in the room if they feel comfortable
Why is this helpful?
These powerful set of features helps the hosts in controlling the quality of the rooms in the best possible way.
Instant room creation for quick discussions
Many of our users get an instant dopamine rush to talk to others about a topic they would just read/thought about.
The instant room feature helps them to create an open room based on a topic for everyone and anyone on Leher to join in and discuss.
